Recovery plans are one of the primary management tools for recovering Australian threatened ecological communities, but poorly developed plans can reduce the effectiveness of conservation efforts.

I am using the S.M.A.R.T. criteria framework to investigate how well-formulated Australian threatened ecological communities’ recovery plans are across national, state, regional and local governments, and how they compare with each other.

Understanding this will help to determine whether recovery plans can facilitate effective recovery of Australia’s threatened ecological communities.
